Professor of Ethnomusicology at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) in Barcelona, holds degrees in “Art, Music and Drama” by the University of Bologna (Italy), “Ethnomusicology” by the University of Valencia and PhD by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He joint as a formal member of “HERIMUS – Research Group on Musical Heritage and Intercultural Practices” at the ESMUC.

He worked on some Mediterranean’s musical traditions and on popular electronic music. His researches focus on the relationships between music and society from a historical perspective and through cultural processes. Also, he studies the development of the Ethnomusicology, in particular the epistemological settings and the ethnographic methodology. Moreover, he plays guitar and sometimes takes pictures.
