Professor of Ethnomusicology at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) in Barcelona, holds degrees in “Art, Music and Drama” by the University of Bologna (Italy), “Ethnomusicology” by the University of Valencia and PhD by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He joint as a formal member of the research group “Les músiques en les societats contemporànies” at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He worked on some Mediterranean’s musical traditions and on popular electronic music. His researches focus on the relationships between music and society in a historical perspective and through cultural processes. Also, he studies the development of the Ethnomusicology, in particular the epistemological settings and the ethnographic methodology.  Also he plays guitar and sometimes takes pictures.
